Privacy & Cookies

LAST UPDATED 2026-10-12

Coindrop is a free directory of browser games. We collect as little as we can to run the site and to personalise your feed. We don't sell your data, and we don't run third-party advertising or tracking scripts.

The device cookie

On your first visit we set one first-party cookie called did. It holds a random identifier (not your name or email), is not readable by scripts, and lasts up to two years. We use it to:

If you sign in, a login session cookie is also set. We store a few small preferences (like a dismissed banner) in your browser's local storage; those never leave your device. To reset everything, clear cookies and site data for Coindrop in your browser.

What we store

Games are third-party sites

Embedded games load from their developers' own servers. When you play one, that developer can see your request (like any website you visit) and may set their own cookies or collect data under their own policies. We don't control that.

How long we keep it

Who we share it with

Only service providers that run the site for us: Vercel (hosting), our database host, and beehiiv (newsletter). Public charts and ratings show aggregate numbers only, never who played what.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete data tied to your account or device id by emailing legal@coindrop.games (include your device id or account email so we can find it). Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may have further rights, including to object to processing or complain to a data-protection authority. Where consent is required for the device cookie, we rely on the notice shown on your first visit; you can withdraw it by clearing the cookie.

Children

Coindrop isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information (like an email) from them.

Changes and contact
